It doesn't work like that, any files AFTER the installation of the program will be BACKED UP onto your HDD. Think of it as System Restore for Windows Vista.

This should not be able to work on a Memory Stick, unless you connect it as if it were a drive (example; F, G, H)

it worked for me when i plug the PSP in my computer when its in USB mode

Your memory stick was restored because there is a temporary recycle bin located on your C drive. Most likely: C:\$Recycle.Bin
